Roger W. Falcone
A physicist and former American Physical Society president with experience leading major research institutions and evaluating consequential technologies.

Biography.
Roger is Professor Emeritus of the Graduate School at the University of California, Berkeley. He chaired the Berkeley Physics Department, directed the Advanced Light Source at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory from 2006 to 2017, and served as President of the American Physical Society in 2018. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences.
His work spans scientific evidence, technology strategy, and the institutional pathways that connect large research programs with commercial markets.
