The Honorable Eyal Hulata served from July 2021 to January 2023 as Israel’s National Security Advisor. As part of this role he was also Head of the National Security Council (NSC) of Israel.
Dr Hulata served in this role under two Prime Ministers. He was appointed by Prime Minister Naftali Bennet and served also for Prime Minister Yair Lapid. According to the Wexner Foundation, during Dr Eyal’s tenure, he coordinated the national effort on Iran, the maritime border agreement with Lebanon, and co-headed the Strategic Consultation Group with his counterpart, the US National Security Advisor the Honorable Mr Jake Sullivan.
Dr Hulata is currently senior international fellow at the FDD (Foundation for the Defense of Democracies), and the first foreign visiting fellow in FDD headquarters, and holds many significant roles. He has won many awards including the prestigious Israeli Defense Award.
